Meet the Legacy Lopez General Contractor LLC Team in Houston

Nefi was born in Mexico and raised by parents who taught him the values he still runs the company on: hard work, integrity, and loyalty. In 1990 he enrolled at UVSC in Orem, Utah to study construction inspection, and that is where his career began. He has kept studying ever since, taking coursework across different areas of construction as the trade has changed.

He learned the work from the ground up. He started as a sheetrock hanger, metal and wood framer, and drywall finisher, then learned to operate excavation equipment, forklifts, lifts and other heavy machinery. Along the way he gained practical experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and textures, which is the reason he can stand in a room and tell you what is behind the wall.

That range grew into deep experience across commercial, residential and industrial construction. He perfected quality interior finishes for both residential and commercial remodeling, and specialized in kitchen and bathroom remodeling while keeping the general remodeling capability that lets one contract cover a whole project.

He is OSHA safety certified, for the protection of both the crew and the client, and has studied building codes covering electrical, plumbing, concrete and underground work, along with coursework in excavation and in commercial and industrial structures.

His career moved from working for large national companies as a project superintendent to serving as a senior project manager, running large-load foundation projects, structural steel, piping and general construction. That experience is what inspired him to build a turnkey operation of his own. Under his leadership the company has expanded to include internal drywall and architectural millwork divisions, and he remains driven by quality, service, and finishing on time.

Outside of work he is a dedicated father and husband, and the time he values most is time spent with his wife, his children and his grandchildren.
